MT. PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) -

Mt. Pleasant police are searching for a suspect after several bullets were fired at a home on Venning Road early Thursday morning.

Officers responded to the 1000 block of Venning Road after receiving a call from residents who heard gunfire outside their home around 12:15 a.m. on Thursday, March 21.

According to an incident report, one of the residents in the home was laying in bed when she heard about five gunshots outside her bedroom window. The victim then ran to her mother's room, who had also heard the shots.

No one at the home was injured.

Police say there were three bullet holes in a wooden fence and two in the home. One of the rounds went into a bed and the other into a dresser, the report states.

After a search of the area, officers located three bullet casings in the road on Hungry Neck Blvd. going toward Venning Rd.
