Suspected drug dealers busted following apartment search

The Charleston Police Department has arrested four suspected drug dealers following a search of an apartment in West Ashley on Thursday.

Investigators charged 27-year-old Markeise Frayer, 25-year-old Jonathan Burns, 20-year-old Rakeem Montgomery and 55-year-old Albert Gordon with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute cocaine base.

On Thursday, members of the police's special investigations unit executed a search warrant at an apartment on Rondo Street.

Police confiscated 15.5 grams of cocaine, 9.4 grams of cocaine base, a handgun with an obliterated serial number and nearly $1500 in cash.

Additionally, Frayer was charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

All four suspects were locked up at the Al Cannon Detention Center.
