BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Berkeley County Coroner's Office says the man who was killed early Saturday morning after his SUV ran off the road on Highway 176 did not die from injuries sustained in the crash.
Coroner Bill Salisbury said Sunday night he ruled 33-year-old Daniel Kelley's death as "natural" and mentioned other medical issues that caused his death. He would not elaborate.
Kelley was driving his 1999 Ford Expedition on Highway 176 near Wassamassaw Lane around 6:30 a.m. Saturday when it ran off the right side of the road, hit a few trees, and then crashed into a brick wall, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Kelley was wearing a seatbelt.
