Plan approved to rezone downtown land for new hotel

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston City Council approved a plan Tuesday night to rezone land in downtown for a new hotel.

Roper St. Francis owns the land at 325 Calhoun Street where two of their buildings are located.

The hospital wants to have a third party open a boutique hotel and parking deck.

The parking deck will serve the hospital district.
