NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - North Charleston police arrested a total of eight suspects as part of a drug investigation on Tuesday.
According to a release, officers executed a search warrant at 2551 Midland Park Road, Lot 31 on Tuesday as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.
Cops say they found 3.7 grams of cocaine base, items used to weigh and package drugs, and a 9mm pistol with a scratched off serial number.
The release states all seven suspects in the home were arrested because no one claimed ownership of the drugs or the gun.
Adriana Lucas, 20, Melik Bibbs, 17, Frederick Bibbs Jr, 20, Chandrika Whaley, 25, Sheri Sullivan, 33, Frederick Bibbs, 39, and Soni Wells, 24, were arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine base and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.
Officers performed a search warrant at 7131 Stall Road, Apartment 31 on Tuesday and uncovered 12.7 grams of cocaine base, three handguns and items used to weigh and package drugs.
Akeim Fredericks, 21, was arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine base, possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, possession of a stolen firearm, and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.
The eight suspects were transferred to the Charleston County Detention Center.
