Man sought for pawning stolen weedeater in W. Ashley

WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) - Charleston police say they are looking for a man wanted for pawning a weedeater stolen from a West Ashley home.

According to an incident report, investigators found the 56-year-old victim's stolen Stihl weedeater at Fast Money Pawn on Sam Rittenberg Boulevard in early December.  A detective found the property by searching the Berkeley County Pawn Listing's online website.

According to police, the site showed 51-year-old Lorenzo Brown pawned the weedwacker in early October.  The item was previously reported stolen from a home on Captiva Row.

Police say Brown's last-known address was 1815 Jaywood Circle.  He is described as a black male standing 5'7" and weighing about 150 pounds.
