Summerville man dies in Afghanistan

SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - A soldier from Summerville died last week in Afghanistan, the Department of Defense announced Monday.

According to a news release from the department, Chief Warrant Officer Curtis Reagan, 43, died on Mar. 29 in Kandahar from a "non-combat related illness."

The department did not provide more details on the illness.

Reagan was assigned to the 603rd Aviation Support Battalion, 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, of Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield  in Georgia.
