BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - A man is behind bars after Berkeley County sheriff's deputies found a meth lab at a Goose Creek home with a child, authorities say.
Sheriff's office spokesman Dan Moon said 34-year-old Scott Michael Grimm was arrested after deputies found a methamphetamine lab, 2.2 gross grams of methamphetamine, and half a gross gram of marijuana, along with weapons.
Grimm was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine within a ½ mile of a school/playground, exposing a child to methamphetamine and simple possession of marijuana.
He is being held in the Berkeley County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
Moon said the child was placed with a relative.
