Seeing double at the Family Circle Cup

DANIEL ISLAND, SC (WCSC) -

The Family Circle Cup is a family event and not just in the stands. Several brothers are working together as part of the 200 person ball crew. Some of these kids may seem more in sync than most, and could have fans seeing double.

That's because three sets of twins are working this year's tournament.

Aaren and Adren Cox, Nick and Andy Burlos, and Jake and Luke Kusmider are all working the tournament for a fourth time this year.

They don't always get paired together, but maybe they should. Luke Kusmider tells us about a tough moment for him, while Jake wasn't with him on the court.

"I ran into the post and passed out during the doubles final," Luke said.

"I was in the tunnel when I heard about it and was scared," Jake told us.

While working together could be double trouble, it's a triple threat these guys really hope to see.

"I want to do that for the stadium at least once" Nick Burlos admitted. "It would be cool because there are six ball crew kids [in a match]. That would be pretty cool."

The annual Walk for Water raised almost $300,000 for the local non-profit Water Mission. An estimated 5,000 people people walked three miles while carrying buckets of water in downtown Charleston to simulate the distance some people in developing countries or disaster areas must travel for access to clean water. “We don't understand the experiences that they are going through.  A three-mile walk to an unsafe water source [and] the sicknesses that come with that.  It'...More >>
