NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC) - The North Charleston Police Department is looking for a suspect who shot a man after he was not paid for raking the victim's yard.
On Monday night, officers responded to the area of Robertson Boulevard and Althea Avenue in reference to a shooting.
Officers found the 51-year-old victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg. According to the victim, he was shot by a man named "Trey" over not being paid for raking his yard.
The victim reported hearing 5 to 6 gunshots but was only hit once.
A police report states that the victim was "very uncooperative" as well as intoxicated. Investigators also arrested the victim for being intoxicated in public.
Authorities say they found two shell casings in the roadway. Police have identified a suspect and officers are searching for him.
