Barclay Radebaugh will be returning to Charleston Southern for his 9th season with the university a school official said on Wednesday.
Radebaugh had been rumored to be up for the opening at Furman but Sportstalk Radio reported earlier in the day that he had removed his name from consideration. The Paladins reportedly reached a deal with Colorado State assistant Niko Medved on Wednesday night.
Charleston Southern has committed more resources towards the program and it's believed that extensions and raises are on the table for Radebaugh and his staff.
When reached for comment Wednesday afternoon the coach wouldn't comment on if he'd be returning to Charleston Southern next year or talk about his interest in the Furman vacancy.
Radebaugh is coming off his best season with the Buccaneers having led the team to their first Big South regular season title in 26 years. The teams trip to the NIT was just their 2nd postseason appearance ever and first in 16 years.
A new deal could be reached by early next week.
