PeopleMatter opening to shut down King Street

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - PeopleMatter, a provider of human resources software for service industries, is opening its world headquarters in Charleston.

The invitation-only event Thursday evening on King Street in downtown Charleston includes tours of the new headquarters. Refreshments will be served.

King Street will be closed between Ann Street and Mary Street from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

The official ceremony begins at 6 p.m.  It will be followed by a tour of the building.

Company president and CEO Nate DaPore, Charleston Mayor Joe Riley and Ernest Andrade, the executive director of the Charleston Digital Corridor, are scheduled to attend the event.
