CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - "It's inspiring to see the Southeastern digital community come together and embrace something as their own," said Dig South founder and executive producer Stanfield Gray. "From day one, the response has been energizing and it has become clear that we're part of something much bigger than the weekend. Dig South is truly becoming a movement – one that was long overdue."
Dig South will celebrate digital innovation and creativity in the 21st-century. Festival events include an interactive conference, a technology and creative industry expo and a sideshow offering national and local touring bands, networking events and standup comedy. More than 100 conference presenters will be featured .
The lineup for the sideshows include Lee Fields & The Expressions along with Yarn, Rosco Bandana, Dangermuffin, Those Darlins, Hurray for the Riff Raff, Sam Doores and the Tumbleweeds, Barefoot Movement, Rachel Kate, The Bushels, Brave Baby, HEYROCCO, Elim Bolt and many more.
The musical acts range from soul to bluegrass, rock, funk and just about everywhere else. Bands will hit the Charleston Music Hall, Redux Contemporary Art Center, and The Alley when the sun goes down on the daytime events.
