CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - It's a sure sign of the spring season.
The Charleston Farmers Market is now open on Saturdays in Marion Square. Today marked the start of the 25th season.
"I've had a booth here for about 10 years and it's just a wonderful market," Angela Leopard of Stone Mermaid Garden Stones. "People just really come here to spend the day just walking around."
This year, 29 farmers and producers, in addition to artisan crafters, are registered. New additions to this year's market include "Molly & Me Pecans," "Outta My Huevos," and "Old Like New Resourced Wood Company."
Saturday market hours are 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the season runs through December 21st.
