Knife-toting man sought in Summerville CVS robbery

SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - Summerville police are investigating after a knife-toting man robbed a CVS pharmacy early Tuesday.

According to Summerville Police Captain Jon Rogers, the robbery happened at the pharmacy at 301 North Main Street around 12:30 a.m.  Rogers said the suspect, a white male, made off with Oxycontin after threatening a pharmacist with a kitchen knife.

No one was injured.

Surveillance video shows a thinly built, goateed man appearing to be in his late 20s or early 30s, wearing a long sleeve navy-colored shirt, blue jeans, and a black or dark green hat.  According to the incident report, the shirt is a "thermal-style" shirt.

The suspect held a handkerchief to his face during the robbery in an attempt to conceal his identity.
