Swainson kidnapping suspect to be sentenced for ammo

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - A man charged with kidnapping a missing Richland County teen is to be sentenced on federal ammunition charges.

Freddie Grant, 53, is scheduled to be sentenced Thursday. Grant was convicted in January of being a felon in possession of ammunition.

Investigators found a box of shotgun shells and a box of .38 caliber bullets in Grant's home while they were searching for clues in the disappearance of Gabbiee Swainson. She has not been seen since Aug. 18.

Grant was charged with her abduction on Aug. 27. He is awaiting trial on that charge.
