This week marks "Stay Safe Online" week, which honors the efforts of the "Internet Crimes Against Children" task force and it's record of 373 arrests of suspected child predators.
The task force was created back in 1998. Detective Doug Galluccio has been a part of it since 2008 as the area's only full-time investigator.
"Things have gotten faster, smaller and more affordable," Det. Galluccio says of the changing technology. "Wi-fi is huge. Laptops are becoming phased out slowly by pads, phones are getting smaller, faster and more affordable."
Of the 373 arrests credited to the ICAC task force, 244 suspects have been convicted.
