The Houston Texans have selected Clemson receiver DeAndre Hopkins with the 27th overall pick in the NFL draft.
Receiver was the biggest need for the Texans who have long lacked a top-tier receiver to play opposite star Andre Johnson, who turns 32 this summer.
Hopkins led the Tigers last season catching 82 passes for over 1400 yards and 18 touchdowns.
He becomes the 23rd all-time Clemson 1st round pick and the first since CJ Spiller in 2010. He's the first Tigers WR taken in the 1st round since Rod Gardner in 2001.
