GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) - The City of Goose Creek will soon begin a project to extend the hiker and biker trail along Plantation North Boulevard.
According to city spokesperson Jesica Mackey, the project will connect the existing trail that ends at the intersection of Plantation North Boulevard and Indigo Way, and extend to the entrance of Oak Creek Subdivision.
The project will begin early May and officials hope it will be completed by September.
City Council awarded the contract to First Construction Management of Hanahan.
The project will consist of approximately 950 linear feet of 10' wide hiker/biker trail from the existing trail along Plantation North Boulevard to the intersection of Two Hitch Road; an additional 175 linear feet of 5' wide sidewalk will be installed at the entrance of Indigo Place Subdivision.
The project will cost $84,782.96 and is being funded by Enhancement Funds and C-Funds.
