TRINITY, NC (WGHP/CNN) – A high school student's picture of her holding her son has been pulled from the yearbook.
Caitlin Tiller, a senior at Wheatmore High School, said the school asked her class to have the picture taken with a prop of their choice that best represents them.
"So I brought my son, thinking that he could be in the yearbook with me and two days before the book was due I find out he can't be in," Tiller said.
Randolph County school officials would not comment on why it was not included, except to say the yearbook should be about the student, not their family.
Tiller's mother, Karen Morgan, said she hopes the school will have a change of heart in the future.
"She took responsibility," Morgan said. "She takes care of Leelin. She's there, right there with him."
