Man dies after wreck in Berkeley County

BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

The Berkeley County Coroner's Office says one person died after their vehicle ran off the highway flipping several times early Saturday morning.

Officials say the driver was traveling on Highway 45 just two miles east of Jamestown, when he ran off the right side of the road hitting a ditch and overturning several times.

Authorities say the driver was ejected out of the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

The coroner's office has identified the victim as 40-year-old Javen Casselman Jr.

Cassleman's death was ruled accidental and cause of death from injuries he sustained in the crash.

This accident is under investigation with the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
