WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston Police Department has arrested five people after 86 grams of cocaine base, a stolen gun and a toddler were found at a home in West Ashley.
Police arrested 22-year-old Cary Kejuan Stephens, 23-year-old Corey Ramonde Stephens, 24-year-old Kristin Michelle Stephens, 33-year-old Randolph Oliver and 65-year-old Kenneth Carroll Mosley.
The suspects were arrested after police executed a search warrant at a home on Magnolia Road Friday afternoon following an undercover operation that happened last month. On April 19, authorities say an undercover agent purchased drugs from Cary Stephens in West Ashley.
On Friday night, investigators executed a search warrant at a home on Magnolia Drive. According to an affidavit, officers located 86 grams of cocaine base, a gram of cocaine, more than $1500 in cash and a stolen .40 caliber gun in and around the home.
Officers also found a 1-year-old child in one of the bedrooms of the home. Investigators also found a digital scale in the closet of the bedroom.
An affidavit states plastic baggies and other items "that pose a choking hazard to a child" were found on the floor throughout the home.
Officers say digital scales containing narcotic residue were found in the dining room, and 28 grams of cocaine base was found in a container at a shed near the home.
Kenneth Mosley and Carey, Kristin and Corey Stephens were arrested on drug dealing charges and unlawful conduct towards a child. Oliver was charged with possession of marijuana.
The child was placed in the custody of the Department of Social Services.
