School bus involved in James Island wreck

JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - No students were injured during a wreck involving a school bus on James Island on Wednesday morning, authorities say.

According to Charleston County Sheriff's Captain Eric Watson, the school bus was turning onto Harbor View Road from Greg Drive around 7:15 a.m. when it sideswiped another vehicle.

Six high school students were on the bus at the time of the accident.  No one was injured.

Charleston County School District spokesman Jason Sakran said the bus was headed to James Island Charter High School, which provides its own bus transportation.

Watson did not say if the bus driver would be cited for the incident.
