WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) - A West Ashley nightclub will host its final party this weekend. Plan B, located inside the Ashley Town Center Plaza, has been the site of many police calls.
But that's not why they say they're shutting down. The owners say they want to take their business in a new direction.
According to the owners, they want to possibly move away from the "wet and wild foam parties" or the "anything but clothes parties" which the club touts on its Facebook page.
But all the action hasn't been limited to club goers. The police have been called out many times to the club.
Back in February, Charleston police arrested a man they say was dancing on the stage, while waving a gun. They say he also had ecstasy on him and was trying to sell pills for $20.
Then in March, another man was charged, after Charleston police say he almost ran over two people in the parking lot with his car. As they were writing him a traffic ticket, they say they saw a handgun in his car, later revealed to be stolen.
The business's lawyer, David Aylor, said they did have several security guards on-duty at all times.
No word on what club owners plan to do with the space.
