Gov. Nikki Haley was in North Charleston for a ceremonial bill signing of an incentives package for Boeing.
The governor visited the company's North Charleston plant on Friday with Boeing officials and state lawmakers. She actually signed the $120 million incentive package last month.
In return for the incentives, Boeing plans to invest another $1.1 billion and create 2,000 more new jobs over the next eight years.
The incentives cover upfront expansion costs such as utilities and site preparation at Boeing's manufacturing complex that now employs about 6,000 workers.
