JOHNS ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - A 27-year-old man is behind bars accused of breaking into cars on Johns Island.
The Charleston Police Department arrested Eddie Thomas on Monday and charged him with three counts of breaking into a motor vehicle. Thomas, who is on probation for a narcotic charge, was locked up at the Al Cannon Detention Center.
Thomas' arrest stems from three incidents that happened on Sweetleaf Lane and Fetterbush Lane between April 7 and May 9.
On April 7, someone entered a vehicle on Sweetleaf Lane and stole money, a canvas tote bag, a purse, a cellular telephone pouch and two small flashlights.
Three days later someone entered a vehicle on Fetterbush Lane and stole several credit cards and an iPhone charger.
On May 9, someone entered another vehicle on Sweetleaf Lane and stole money and several credit cards.
Police are continuing the investigation.
