Overnight fire destroys Goose Creek home, kills dog

GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) - Authorities say an early morning house fire in Goose Creek that took the life of a dog is believed to be accidental.

The fire broke out just before 12:30 a.m. Friday in the 400 Block of Delmont Drive.

The Goose Creek Fire Department tells us the home is unlivable as it was essentially gutted by the blaze.

Four people who were in the home at the time of the fire were able to escape without injuries, but officials say a dog died inside the house.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
