ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - United States Marshals have arrested an Orangeburg man wanted for punching his girlfriend and threatening to kill her with a shotgun.
According to Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell, 25-year-old Michael Bryan Gadson was arrested in a North Charleston neighborhood Friday.
Gadson was wanted by the Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office after a Apr. 21 incident on Crosby Street.
When officers arrived to the address just after 3 a.m., they observed the female victim with bruises and swelling to her face. Gadson allegedly pointed a shotgun at the victim and ordered her to get into the bath tub. Gadson then threatened the female's life several times.
On October 31, Gadson threw a table at the same victim. He was arrested in February and charged with first-degree criminal domestic violence and was later released on $2,130 bond.
Ravenell concluded, "Our agency is committed to working with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, task forces, and any other available resources to arrest criminals and bring them back to this county to have their day in court. The Marshal Service's Task Force has produced favorable results and we continue to applaud Marshal Kelvin Washington for his leadership."
