Charleston Co. to propose tax cut for homeowners

CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The proposed Charleston County budget is set to be presented Tuesday, and it could mean good news for your wallet.

The proposed 2014 fiscal year budget includes a 6% decrease in taxes on owner-occupied homes.  That's equal to about $4.80 on a $100,000 home.

The budget also includes funding for public safety vehicles, the sheriff's office headquarters, a new recycling center, and a new senior center.
