CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Rep. Mark Sanford is back in the 1st Congressional District to conduct his first items of business in office on Monday.
The former governor was sworn in as Tim Scott's replacement in the House of Representatives last week.
Sanford is expected to speak with the South Carolina Ports Authority at 10 a.m. in downtown Charleston. He's then scheduled to hold neighborhood office hours.
He will also visit the Mount Pleasant Walmart at Wando Crossing, on Highway 17 just north of Interstate 526.
Governor Nikki Haley had also been scheduled to make two stops in the Lowcountry, but those appointments have been cancelled because of a scheduling error, the governor's office said.
