NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - State and local veterans affairs officials are hosting a one-stop clinic for Robertson County and Cheatham County military veterans on Friday.
Representatives from more than 40 federal, state and local agencies will be present to offer claims guidance, health and wellness resources, educational programs as well as housing and jobs information. The event will be at the Tennessee National Guard Armory in Springfield from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Sponsors are the Tennessee Department of Veterans Affairs, American Legion Post 45 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2120.
Veterans will need to present a copy of their DD-214 form and any other service-related documents to assist with filing claims for federal benefits.

One person is dead after an overnight motorcycle accident in Berkeley County. The accident occurred on Highway 35, just outside of the St. Stephen area, shortly before 10 p.m. Friday night. The driver was traveling north on Highway 35, when he veered off the right side of the road and crashed into a ditch. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
