MT. PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - A popular spot on the water in Mt. Pleasant is one step closer to getting some major upgrades.
Plans are in the works to expand Shem Creek Park, but the town wants to get the public's thoughts first. A public meeting will be held at the Municipal Complex Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Boardwalks and docks along the creek already allow folks to fish and view the marshes, but now the town wants to add more docks along the water's edge.
Tuesday night's meeting will last two hours. Town officials and the project manager are all expected to be in attendance.
The newly constructed Shem Creek Park opened a few years ago just off Coleman Boulevard and cost $8.5 million.
