Deputies: One suspect in Ladson home invasion turns self in

LADSON, SC (WCSC) -

Charleston County deputies say one of two suspects who broke into a home in the Buckshire subdivision and shot two victims earlier this month has turned himself in.

Tyrone Butler, 21, surrendered to U.S. Marshals and deputies at North Charleston City Hall Tuesday around 11 a.m. Butler was wanted on outstanding warrants for attempted murder, burglary, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.

Deputies say Butler and another suspect, Anson Bing, broke into a home on Kirkwall Drive in Ladson on May 10 around 11:45 p.m.

According to a report, the suspects forced their way into the home through the garage door. A shootout then took place inside the home between the suspects and the homeowner.

The report states two people inside the home were shot and injured. The suspects were able to escape.

Deputies are still searching for Bing. His last known address is 2328 Taylor St. in North Charleston.
