BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (AP/WCSC) - The National Weather Service has cancelled a tornado warning for portions of Berkeley County. Some locations in the warning included Jamestown, Calestown and Beufordtown.
It all started around 8:23 p.m. when radar detected a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado 15 miles northwest of Jamestown moving southeast at 20 mph.
By 8:51 p.m, the weather service doppler radar continued to indicate a severe thunderstorm with strong rotation. The possible tornado was located near Calestown or about 16 miles northeast of Moncks Corner moving southeast at 20 mph.
