ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC (AP/WCSC) -

A storm that prompted a tornado warning in Orangeburg and Dorchester counties stopped traffic on Interstate 26 eastbound earlier on Tuesday.

State troopers say the storm knocked a tree down on I-26 east near Bowman just past the Interstate 95 interchange, entirely blocking that side of the road around 3:45 p.m.

Emergency officials say strong winds from that storm also knocked down dozens of trees in Orangeburg County. No injuries or major property damage has been reported.

There were no reports of a tornado touching the ground from the storm.
