COLLETON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - South Carolina Highway Patrol has released details regarding the vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run on Interstate 95 earlier this week.
Officials say a tractor trailer collided with another vehicle on Tuesday night near mile marker 45. The driver of the other vehicle who was killed has been identified as 58-year-old Catherine Foley, from Glen Cove, New York, according to the Colleton County Coroners Office.
Highway Patrol says the tractor trailer may have possible damage to it's passenger side.
According to the South Carolina Department of Public Safety, Foley was driving a 1997 Chrysler traveling north on I-95 at 8:45 p.m. when the incident occurred.
Emergency officials say after Foley's car ran off the road and hit several trees after colliding with the tractor trailer.
The collision is under investigation.
