Motorist ejected, killed in Williamsburg Co.

WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

South Carolina Highway Patrol says a motorist died early Friday after being ejected from an SUV in Williamsburg County.

According to Lance Corporal Sonny Collins, the wreck happened just before 1 a.m. on Wild Turkey Road, when the driver of a 2001 GMC Yukon was traveling east and ran off the road before veering back across the road.

Collins said the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.

The Williamsburg County Coroner's Office has not released the victim's name.  The crash remains under investigation.
