MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) - A reward for information about the death of a 23-year-old South Carolina woman is now $6,000.
Authorities are investigating the death of Amber Berbiglia as a homicide and are trying to learn how her body ended up under a North Myrtle Beach bridge with a fatal head wound.
The Little River woman's friends and family this week added $5,000 to the $1,000 reward offered last month.
Berbiglia's body was found under a bridge on the Robert Edge parkway, a major road in North Myrtle Beach. Investigators are hoping anyone who saw a woman or anyone else near the bridge on the busy road to call police.
Horry County Police Sgt. Robert Kegler says detectives are trying to find out what she was doing and who she was with.
