Bond set at $25k for teen accused of fondling 11-year-old girl

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Bond was set at $25,000 for a 17-year-old boy accused of fondling an 11-year-old girl at a North Charleston skating rink last month.

The North Charleston Police Department charged Brandon Hill with third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor.

On May 25, police responded to a home on Remount Road in reference to a sexual assault that happened at the Stardust Skating Rink on 2035 Spaulding Rd.

The victim's parents said their daughter was sexually assaulted while at the skating rink.

The victim said she had been friends with Hill since January of 2012 when she met him at the skating rink.

According to the victim, on the night of May 24, she told Hill to meet her in a back room because she wanted to give him back a friendship bracelet he gave to her.

A police report states while the victim was under a table, attempting to find the bracelet, the suspect went under the table and began to touch the victim inappropriately.

According to the victim, when it started, she was afraid to tell him to stop because she thought he would get mad at her.

The victim said during the assault, she continued to tell the suspect to stop. Police say the victim eventually was able to get away from the suspect.

Investigators say the victim told her friends who in turn told the victim's mother of the incident.
