Suspects wanted for breaking into cars at W. Ashley apartment complex

WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston Police Department is on the lookout for the people responsible for breaking into seven cars at an apartment complex in West Ashley.

On Tuesday at 6:26 a.m., police responded to an apartment complex on Eagle View Drive in reference to a vandalism.

The responding officer met with seven people who all reported that someone had smashed windows on their cars and gone through their vehicles, with some of the victims reporting that items were also stolen.

One of the victims reported that someone tried to pry out her stereo causing damage to the stereo, cup holder and air vents.

Another victim told police that someone had smashed the rear passenger side window of his car and stole lights and a pool stick.

The stolen items included sunglasses, a taser and a cell phone charger.
