US Marshals arrest two men in Ladson double shooting

LADSON, SC (WCSC) - The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office says they've arrested the two men sought in connection with the double shooting which happened in Ladson on Monday.

Officials said US Marshals found 21-year-old Travis Donald Fender and 23-year-old Brent Peets on Wednesday in the West Ashley area.  Fender is charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, while Peets is charged with accessory after the fact of attempted murder.

Investigators say Fender shot a 43-year-old and 23-year-old woman in the stomach at the Honey Ridge Villas on Oakmont Avenue on Monday.  Both victims identified Peets and Fender as the offenders as they were being treated for wounds.

The male victim told deputies he and the woman had come to the villas to get the rest of their belongings from 200 Oakmont Avenue, Apartment A, when the two men began to argue with the female victim before the shooting.

The victim said only one gunshot was fired.  The victims' condition is unknown at this time.

Both suspects are being held in the Dorchester County Detention Center.
