CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Police have arrested a 35-year-old Charleston man they say struck a victim repeatedly with a 2x4 last week.

Charleston Police Department officers arrested Corey Rivers, wanted on a charged of second-degree assault and battery, on Monday afternoon, according to police records. Rivers was arrested at 109 Bee Street just before 3 p.m., according to police.

Investigators say Rivers struck a man multiples times with the board, causing lacerations that required stitches.
