NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A repo man claims he was shot at Tuesday evening while searching for a vehicle in North Charleston that was scheduled to be repossessed, according to an incident report.
Police were called to a parking lot at 4567 Purcell Drive on Tuesday around 11 p.m. in reference to a shooting.
The victim told police he previously attempted to repossess a car on Buck Pond Road, but it drove away while he was being confronted by 10 people.
While searching for the vehicle at the parking lot, the victim says a white car drove up and fired a single gunshot at him before driving off.
Police say the victim was not able to identify the car or the shooter, and the shell casing could not be found. There was also no sign of a bullet hole.
Neighbors told police they did not hear any gunshots at the time of the incident, the report states.
