Sticky proposal: Man pops the question with Post-its

(RNN) – If you're going to say something meaningful, say it with Post-its.

It worked for Brett Beutler from Littleton, CO, when he popped the question to his girlfriend by plastering a room with 8,000 sticky notes, spelling out "Will you marry me?" with colored sheets. 

If that wasn't enough in the effort department, he handwrote "I love you" on every single Post-it.

Hand cramps aside, the work paid off. His girlfriend Megan Loosli said yes.

Beutler said it took him several months to write out the "I love you" Post-its. He was able to put them all up in about seven hours, with help.

For you Sex and the City fans, June 5 will always be known as the day Loosli got proposed to ... with a Post-it.
