Cops looking for duo in Mt. Pleasant armed robbery

MT. PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) -

Mt. Pleasant police are investigating an armed robbery which happened at a gas station just off the Wando River early Monday.

According to a police report, two masked men entered the Kangaroo Express at 2390 Highway 41 just before midnight and robbed the clerk at gunpoint.  The victim said one of the suspects carried the handgun and the other used an empty pillow case as a bag for the cash.

Witnesses said the suspects fled towards the carwash station and into a wooded area.

Both suspects were described as dark-skinned black males standing between 5'5" and 5'8".  One suspect was wearing a green baseball cap, a white cloth covering his face, a green jacket, a black undershirt, blue jeans, and dark tennis shoes.  The other suspect was wearing a black ski mask, a black tank top, blue jeans, rubber gloves, and dark Converse "Chuck Taylor" style shoes.
