Police looking for persons of interest in downtown assault

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

The Charleston Police Department have released surveillance video and pictures of three people investigators want to talk to in connection with an assault in downtown.

On June 15 around 2 a.m., officers responded to the area of 435 King Street near the King Street Grocery in reference to an assault.

Authorities found the victim who was transported to the hospital for his injuries.

Detectives are attempting to identify the individuals who were at the scene of the incident who may have bee involved in the assault or witnesses to the incident.

The first subject is described as a white male wearing a hat, light colored button up shirt and possibly blue shorts. Police describe the second subject as a white male possibly wearing a blue colored button up shirt and khaki shorts.

The last subject is described as a white male wearing a blue t-shirt and khaki shorts.

Investigators say all three individuals are described to be in their early 20's.
