COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - The South Carolina House will consider Gov. Nikki Haley's vetoes less than 24 hours after she issued them.

The House is coming back to Columbia on Wednesday afternoon to take up the governor's 81 vetoes that strike $94 million from the state's $6.7 billion spending plan.

Haley's vetoes included $5 million in increased payments to nursing homes, $2 million to health programs designed to combat various disorders and a number of smaller projects, like $450,000 for three museums and $1 million for a visitor's center in Orangeburg.

Haley also issued 81 vetoes last year. The Legislature overturned 48 of them. In 2011, lawmakers overturned 25 of Haley's 34 vetoes.

The state Senate will take up the vetoes on Thursday.
