GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) -

Organizers say they raised over $1,500 at a Goose Creek fundraiser held over the weekend for two area firefighters undergoing treatment at Medical University of South Carolina.

The fundraiser was held in the Blockbuster parking lot on St. James Avenue on Saturday, and raised money for North Charleston firefighter Darin Kingery and Colleton and Hampton Co. firefighter Jordan Eaddy.

Kingery was seriously injured in early June after authorities say drunk driver Felix Garcia-Romero plowed through an accident scene. Kingery's right leg has been amputated below his knee as a result of the accident.

Eaddy is undergoing treatment for Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma Cell B cancer.

The party featured 20 vendors, kid activities, balloon artist, face painting, a pie-throwing contest, a fire truck, hot dogs, and more.
