NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - North Charleston police say a 22-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday after she attacked her boyfriend with a brick and bleach because she claimed she was "tired of him".
According to an incident report, officers saw the suspect, Elmalikiel Brown, chasing down the victim with a white pipe in her hand in the area of Montague Avenue and Nesbit Street around 2:50 p.m. The victim was waiving his arms to flag down officers for help.
The victim told police Brown was chasing him down while armed with a brick, and attempted to "chop me in the head" with it, the report states.
Officers say the victim was able to take the brick from Brown.
While speaking with the victim, officers say Brown threw a cup of bleach at the victim. The bleach hit the victim in the back, and splashed onto the officer's patrol car.
Police say they arrested Brown, and found a box cutter and a large steak knife in her back pocket. Brown told police she was going to cut the victim because she as "tired of him".
The report states Brown and the victim both told police they have had an on-going series of domestic violence issues. They also told police they have a child together.
Brown was issued citations for criminal domestic violence and carrying a concealed weapon, and issued a court date. She was then taken to the Charleston County Detention Center.
