Mount Pleasant hotel evacuated for bomb threat

MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - A hotel in Mount Pleasant had to be evacuated early Monday morning due for a bomb threat, police say.

According to Mt. Pleasant Police Sergeant Chris Helms, someone called the clerk of the Holiday Inn Express at 350 Johnnie Dodds Boulevard around 4:15 a.m. and told them there was a bomb in the building.  The clerk then pulled the fire alarm and evacuated the hotel

Mt. Pleasant fire and police officials responded and combed the building.  Nothing was found.

Guests were back in their rooms by 5 a.m. and a suspect has not been identified, Helms said.
